Our Purpose
Consult Your Community (CYC) Health is a chapter of CYC national, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit that caters consulting services to empower communities all over the country. As an entity focused on healthcare consulting, CYC Health at UCLA is comprised of consultants dedicated to uplifting health-based organizations in the Los Angeles area. Founded on the ideals of providing optimal healthcare and promoting social welfare, CYC Health provides pro-bono consulting services to allow clinics, nonprofits and medical organizations to maximize their potential and impact in the community. We strive to build meaningful and beneficial relationships with clients by providing them with the tools they need to thrive, all while supporting our community through professionalism and innovation.
Our History
A passion to do more, to turn experiences into impact in the community, inspired the formation of the subchapter CYC Health. Surrounded by numerous consulting organizations catered to businesses and start-ups, like-minded individuals passionate about healthcare reform and equality began CYC health to bring those services to health-based organizations in Los Angeles. As the first healthcare consulting organization on campus, CYC Health allows our members to gain firsthand knowledge in all forms of healthcare — from business administration to clinical practice. We hope to provide our members the professional experience in public health while strengthening connections and relationships with the community to bring meaningful change.
Our Approach
Over the course of a 10-15 week engagement, our team of highly skilled and motivated analysts work closely with clients to provide insightful advice and strategic recommendations. Along with the support from CYC National faculty, industry and MBA advisors, our consultants are driven with a passion to bring a lasting impact to public and social health care through their expertise and dedication. Through the partnership, our consultants gain invaluable professional experience in the healthcare sector while clients gain from our effective and implementable strategies.
